Living-Learning CommunitiesÌýare designated residential environments intentionally focused on fostering student learning and a stronger connection with the campus community. Our living-learning communities each have a unique experience for first-year residential students to engage with dedicated faculty and staff early on in their academic careers. First-year students can choose to live in these communities by submitting their interest on the housing application.
Honors LLC
Created for students enrolled in theÌýHonors Program, the Honors Living-Learning Community (LLC) is designed to provide an academically stimulating and enriching environment. Students in the Honors LLC have access to exclusive events and special programs that enhance academics, build community and promote engagement. Past events have included coffee conversations with famous authors, book talks with award-winning scientists, beginning and end-of-year socials, trivia nights, sand volleyball games and much more.
Applicants must be current members of the Honors Program and maintain that membership to live in the LLC.Ìý

Wellness LLC
The Wellness Living-Learning CommunityÌý(LLC)Ìýoffers students an opportunity to live in an environment dedicated to supporting healthy habits, personal growth, and a shared commitment to well-being. This community emphasizesÌýthe eightÌýdimensionsÌýof wellness, including physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and environmentalÌýwell-being.Ìý
Residents willÌýbenefitÌýfrom co-curricular collaborations, wellness-focused events, and academicÌýactivities;ÌýmanyÌýparticipatingÌýin a first-year experience course that explores strategies forÌýpersonal and academic success. Community members agree to uphold the student code of conduct and contribute to a positive, supportive space by practicing healthy choices related to nutrition, fitness, sleep, and substance use. By living with peers who share these values, students can build meaningful connections, support one another, and develop lifelong habits that promote success, higher retention, and overall well-being.ÌýÌý
The WellnessÌýLLC is located in Smiley Hall.ÌýSmileyÌýisÌý511±¬ÁÏ’sÌýsmallest residence hall andÌýincludes an active community area withÌýa billiards table,Ìýfoosball, study spaces, a communityÌýkitchen, outdoor picnicÌýtables, andÌýentertainmentÌýsystems.ÌýÌý
